Memberships

Introduction

Any undergraduate student at Georgetown University is welcome to join Georgetown Blockchain. We try to reach far past the "crypto nerds" and build a diverse community. In order to do this, we believe it is important to have a club model that benefits varying levels of interest in blockchain.

Membership Categories

We categorize our members into three groups: General members, who engage by attending meetings and events, Contributing members, who spearhead and support various projects, and Leadership, who facilitate the administrative operations of the club. General members benefit from participation in these meetings, whereas Contributors immerse themselves in hands-on blockchain project work.

There are no requirements for General members, but contributors must participate in at least one project per semester.

Education Program

Any student interested in becoming a Contributing member is asked to participate first in our Education Program. The Georgetown Blockchain Education Program is designed to instill Georgetown students with a solid foundation in blockchain technology. We aim not only to enrich our members' understanding but also to position them to actively contribute and shape the club's activities.

Info Session & First Lab

We will have our first lab, which will double as an information session for interested new members, on Tuesday, September 5th at 8:30pm in MSB room 155.
